Paul Eckley is a former U.S. Army Air Corps and USAF pilot. He spent the first year of WWll in the Southwest Pacific flying B-17 missions out of Java, Australia and New Guinea. Returning to the States he spent the remainder of his AF career supervising graphic art facilities at major command headquarters. He retired after 24 years of active duty with his last assignment being Director of Graphic Arts at the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon. After an additional 14 years spent with the Communications Satellite Corporation he fully retired and has devoted his talents since then to mainly creating aviation art of the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific in 1942. His art has won numerous awards and has been juried to show in the EAA Museum, Oshkosh, WI and the U.S. Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, FL., numerous commercial offices and personal homes.
