Ken Kotik began a commercial art career in 1969, specializing in aviation illustrations from 1976 to the present. He was employed by McDonnell Aircraft Corporation as an illustrator from 1980 until 1990. He created conceptual paintings of classified projects and was awarded the Presidents Award as a recognition of excellence. Ken created promotional press kits and posters for the Blue Angels flight demonstration team as well as the 45th anniversary poster for the Blues. The original painting was presented to President Bush. He did a painting for the 50th anniversary celebration of McDonnell Aircraft with 100,000 posters being printed and distributed. Ken will open an aviation art gallery in early summer of 2002. He will be exclusively offering his works. The gallery will include a WW II English cottage with an award winning 1943 L-4B on display and a Fokker Dr.1 Triplane under construction. It will be an unique "Fly In" art gallery. |
